Build 405 works nicely here. Official 1.4.0 had issues with UpNp (not working), although the changelog hardly makes reference of the real program bugs!

Just out of curiosity, I tried μtorrent in the Linux wine emulator (of course Linux has the best BT client out there, Azureus, and a splendid console client- rtorrent, but I liked to see a "lightweight torrent client with GUI"). Version 1.1.3 works fine, only with minor glitches, while 1.1.4 and newer load the GUI just great, but cannot connect/download/upload at all.

Some time after v1.4 dht has simply disappeared for me :D
Either im waiting to log in or there are 0 peers.

Actually I tend to disable DHT, unless there is no other way to get data (it's a severe network stress, pretty much alike Kademlia in Emule), but if you want to use it get sure your router has port 54321 (or whatever the client uses) open for both TCP and UDP packets.

Been reading the µtorrent forums and there are others experiencing the same. One of the mods claimed it was due to level3(and possibly savvis) having some sort of problems atm. If my isp utilizes their services i guess that could be it.
:)

I have slow uploads with 411 (downloads are fine)- almost half the peers of what the frog finds appear here... dunno why.
406 seemed uploading OK.
After all it's a beta- isn't it? I'd rather complain less, since μTorrent is at last a very worthwhile BT client. Nothing to make the frog worry, for sure, but close, performance-wise, and with few oomph demands (slightly less that one tenth of the RAM required by the frog to play ball!).

Do you have peer exchange on?

Yes, but shouldn't make any difference. Mostly there are private swarms, where BitComet is banned (of course), and so the PeerExchange feature shouldn't affect performance...

Just a thought :) Seem to recall some reports of it(possibly in conjunction with the new encryption thing) decreasing performance. Although i too fail to see the obvious logic.

--- 2006-02-01: Version 1.4.1-beta (build 413)
- Change: Support langpack.zip with translations.
- Fix: [beta] Crash bug in last betas.
- Fix: [beta] Prevent error message about file not found from showing up.

Same problem with build 413 (and no, I am not complaining...). Factly, I wouldn't bother at all, but the damn, bloated frog works at fullspeed without any tuning!
