Apart from the new look(see pic), most of the features were used to are still there.
One new feature however I believe will be very well used.

HD-Burn is a process that makes use of DVD technology to write onto CD-Rs. For example, this makes it possible to double the amount that can be recorded on a CD-R and so store up to 1.4 gigabytes of data on it instead of 700 MB.

I have burned a CD-R(Nero 6) and DVD-R(movie) with no problems whatsoever and the movir played flawlessly.

Yeah...I like it...but...you have to get the full install :) ...330mbs...the 50mb is ripped to *hit
Speak as you find of course, but I'm using the 55meg one, and its perfectly fine. It makes you think how much shite makes up the other 275 megs as far as I'm concerned.....

I still don't get why this is a "warez free" forum while threads are aimed at solely warez releases, even if they were left to leak by the developers on purpose... that's a standard Ahead practice, pushed "ahead" by certain warez guys with a reason... I won't mention the "guys", but "almost" every older forum member knows them.
I don't really object about such an hypocrisy, but it is really becoming comical...
I am certainly not the guy that has removed the word warez from his dictionary, but promoting warez stuff with screenshots is a bit too advanced, don't you think so?
(specially dedicated to lawful mods which are overzealous deleting LEGAL links as warez and leave stuff like that go unnoticed...).

Don't be such a cynic scarecrow, this is not "Watergate" or not even "Clinton-gate" just a simple little Computer forum with ZERO hidden agenda's.

I speak this as a fact because this IS a fact. Nobody here is posting warez or even links to warez. Correct? ;)

Enjoy it! We all love our rights to free speach after all :D

Seems like I missed something in this thread. All I see are screenshots of Nero 6 that are freely available on the 'net'.No download links anywhere??

Probably most readers will have trouble with this.It sounds like Plextor's new Gigarec. ;)

Unless it uses some type of compression to get that much data on the disc.

Acxtually sounds like DoubleDensity CDR. Which is not compatable with most CD-ROM and CDRW drives. In fact I think Sony's DD-CDR is dead now. I saw drives here in the US in early 2002, but they went away within 6 months. Perhaps this is backward compatability on Nero's part or they are bringing back DD-CDR? But why?!.... 4.7Gig DVD-R is so much better. ;)

GigaRec is only 1116mb on a 80 min CDR.

DoubleDensity CDR is 1.4 Gigs on 80min DD-CDR.

Well it seems the rip/iso around IS beta - but if I find a decent ISO, I'm sure as hell downloading it.

I bought a discount 5.5 retail and instantly registered for the upgrade - so I presume all I'll get from them is a legit key for the download - so if I find a good CD image, It'll save the usual faffing around with separate files for docs/help and InCD etc.

HD Burn is similar to Plextor's Gigarec. According to Sanyo, most current DVDRom and players should be firmware upgradable to support the format.

DDCD requires special media, HDBurn does not.

I did not know that Ahead sells 330 MB ISO's. Sorry for that!

The 2 versions mentioned above are both warez releases as far as i am aware.
Neither are "official retail" versions.

If you are going to stop people mentioning downloaded movies and the word "centropy" etc then surely this should get the same treatment?

Its a tricky one for the staff....I'm sure we will get clarification on this.

Good luck! ;)

I think if you rip the original Nero 6 purchased copy it will become a 330 Mb iso.We can't help people with downloaded movies or downloaded iso's of Nero.If they were asking about burning it there would be a problem. The original post was just about the features, and a screenshot.

Seems to be a lot of trouble over something not so dangerous IMHO.
