I use only cyberlink filters. Menumodder works but gives a distorted picture lines etc. When I change display setting to 16 bits color depth i.s.o. 32 then there is a picture visible and I can edit the menu :D , but.... the picture is upside down... Is there a simple solution to this or do have to put my monitor upside down ;)

I'm registered user of stripper on Win98SE and have same problem with upside down picture at lower resolution and no horizonal sync at higher resolutions using the new menumodder.. :(

I was not able yet to solve my upside down issue, so I tried out some other players if they can be used for preview in DVDstripper. Found that VirtualDub-mpeg2 works quite nice as a preview player together with DVDstripper.
It also show the video of the still menu's (or 1 or a fe frames menus). If you use for example PowerDVD for preview you see only a glitch and you can not see content to decide if you want to remove it or not. With VirtualDUB-Mpeg2 you have all time of the world to view content, pause move backwards etc.
Maybe you already knew this, if not maybe a tip

cheers jippiejajee :)

I knew about PowerDVD but I will also try VirtualDUB-Mpeg2. I normally just use Zoomplayer as it's great as a viewer as it's very responsive also

I get the same error. This is mine:

(S) --> Ligos MPEG Splitter --> Ligos MPEG Video Decoder --> Overlay Mixer2 --> (R)
(S) --> Ligos MPEG Splitter --> InterVideo Audio Decoder --> (R)

has anyone found a solution besides the elecard?

MackemX,
Is “Son of MenuModder” still in the works? Despite the slowdown in development of DS, you had mentioned working on a total replacement for MM. I ask because I just bumped into another minor quirk that wouldn’t allow use of the “Edit” function with some (normal looking) menus, though it would work on others (??).

BTW, if there is a MM replacement, please retain the ability to move and resize the button selection areas in the menus. Your judgement was that it is a pretty useless feature, but I use it frequently to clean up sloppy work in the original menus and to prevent buttons from being highlighted.

Note: The problem I mentioned in the last post is caused by the “Steal Focus” feature when using the Mini Navigator tool in DS. Steal Focus prevents the Edit function in MenuModder from working properly with some menu screens. Symptoms are the inability to move or resize the Edit window, or to change the direction key values in the window. Simply uncheck Steal Focus when that occurs.

Download?

Hey, I can't seem to find where this program can be downloaded from. Does anyone have a link to it? Thanks.

@pak2, thanks for the info :cool:

the son of 'MM' isn't in the works any more as we couldn't get over the playback issue and Sasha and me both lost interest as we couldn't spend days looking into it as that's what held up it's release for ages

I guess that's freeware for you :D, but it's a shame as all it needed was a player (stills or moving) and it would have been a nice tool to have around

How to change menu

Hi to all,
I'm new on the forum and I'm using DVDStripper and Menumodder to make my own dvdbackup.
DVDStripper works very fine, but menumodder needed to be patched to work with other decoder.
However great job to developers.
My question is:
I'm splitting a dvd d9 into two d5 but I would like to disable some button on a menu only on disk 1 and not on disk two and viceversa.
How I can do this?

Thanks in advance for your help :D

Hi mcapasso and welcome to the forums :)

to split the DVD it's best you do a disk a a time if you want to edit the menu's differently for each

process the first disc using DS & MM and then let DS restore the files. With MM, open the same menu item you edited the first time. Use the restore feature (cana't remember which button but hover over buttons) and it will restore the buttons to the original ripped state so you can change the edited buttons again

then simply choose what you want to strip using DS and process Disc 2

it's simple once you know how and get the feel for it as I've tested this a few times ;)

hope this helps
