You should really use UDF 1.02 with joliet extensions for DVD, not ISO9660... you are NOT burning a CD. Also picking ISO level 1 would truncate filenames, and all assorted goodies. Also, forget that "DVD multisession" Nero feature once and for all- more harm than good. Simply leave the recorded track open until the disk is filled, and then close it.
Don't bother currently with the IDE configuaration... since both devices are recognized, its pretty obvious from the log that the DVD burner is secondary master and the CDRW secondaary slave. It might need to come back to that one if the elementary fixes fail.
