I tried a couple of download managers and found them pitiful when downloading from some places. IE's own is good but no resume which was the reason i tried them. However despite uninstalloing them now the IE downloader has not come back and I had to put one of these damn things back on in order...

Must've done something wrong. When I open CDR Identifier 1.63 on, the top half is greyed out. Is there a way to point the damn program to the cdrw ? or is there another prog that does the same job ? (Not Plextools, as I had mountains of probs with that damn prog !)

I'm d/l spiderman at the moment and would like to put this .avi format into some format that I can burn put onto a cd that would play in dvd machines. How do I go about it ? Ta.:)

I see the cdrsoft site is back at the moment. I'm a bit puzzled by the "pay service" mentioned, but nice to see it back for however long. (started back on 15th I believe)

I will be getting a new comp next week and would like to know if a pukka version of Windows XP home will report back to Microsoft HQ about my having a less-than-pukka version of Office XP ? I will probably put the anti-spy stuff on regardless, but I am a little concerned.

...I'm impressed ! I copied a three cd vcd, and used Nero first, (successful, just under 10 mins) Clone next (successful around 10 mins) and CD Mate last, - successful, just over 6 mins ! All are good quality recordings. so after not being happy when I tried it first time, I was very happy...

After testing (on XP) B's recorder gold and Papayatek Tunespark I think after 5 coasters and NO successes DO NOT USE THESE TWO !!!! B's recorder at least started, did 25% then re-booted the comp ! Then did it it again, so thats off. Then tried Tunespark, which did lead in, and nothing else...

I have a friend who is going to loan me Lord of the rings on 3 discs (obviously not DVD) to watch on my comp. Is it possible to put this film from the comp onto a VHS tape ? And what connectors would I need if possible ?

I have noticed if I download.avi files off newsgroups, they come out as a page full of numbers and letters. How do I get the pics that I click on ?:confused:

There was a small - dutch -I think prog which was just called flp lbl or somesuch, and that was great, but I have it on a disk somewhere only I cant find the thing Is there anyone who knows a good floppy disc labeller, or the url where this one can be downloaded again ?

Can d/l new upgrades but nmot the original nor the new one in downloads. One just gives a white screen, and the other downloads but winzip says it can't open it. Any way to get it (+s.n.) ?:confused:
