XP Fast User Switching Logon Problems

Sorry For the Double Posting on Software Discussion & troubleshooting.

Please Can anyone Help with a problem on XP professional ...

For some reason the XP welcome screen and the Fast User Switching

settings have been changed. So now i am presented with the classic

logon to windows box Before system boots to desktop and when trying to

switch user instead of the XP Presented options with a picture Icon

and user name of the 3 users (Fast User Switching) where you just click

on required account. I now get the Windows Classic Logon Box Where the

new users name has to be Typed into the box with the password option

before a change of user can be done .

I have tried a system restore but this did not sort problem.

I have tried control panel .. Account logon and options for Fast User

Switching and welcome screen are TICKED.

Gone into RUN - GPEDIT _ Accounts and checked all Password Expiry Values are

Set to ZERO......

HELP Any Ideas from all you experts...... Something Poss in the registry is

Corrupt But Where to Look First ????????

THANKS FOR ANY ADVISE ..... RATMAN

no probs will delete the other post.
My advise is you are better off without the stupid fast user switching (as it just 'causes problems *way to buggy)

are you on a domain ?

if so fast user is disabled by default , although there are many good things about fast user switching , if you are burning without a justlink or burnproof burner i suggest you dont switch while burning , it will cause buffer undewrrun and therefore a nice shiny coaster for your collection

k :p

Hmmm, because if your themes service is on then the only thing that can prevent it is a extra key in the registry which is a common problem with PCAnywhere.

run regedit and goto
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
and delete the GinaDLL key.

Thank You All For your Help Sorted with logonui Reset
option. had to install it then click reset button..
