Flori....that GetProdKey...Can not get it to work.
I double click the executable file and a black-dos windows opens for only nano-seconds and closes.Is this a runtime problem?
Hope you can shed some light on it .Thanks in advance

I right now got the notice. I'm sorry to forget advise that GetProdKey it is for run on dos. Anyway I hoppe that might be helpfull to somebody. And thanks too ipdave for the explanation and help.

viewkeyxp returning variable keys but not the one i used to install

getprodkey retirns correct first groep and last group but XXXX in center (ie.e ABCDE-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-ABCDE)

Another key retriever

Attached is another key retriever: Keyfinder 1.1 this one also works with all other versions of windows. Handy to have (easier than having to check the registry in older win versions)

You can also grab it from the homepage:

Edit:
Version 1.2 is available on the website, just adds the ability to copy, save to file or print directly from the program, which could be handy. I have updated the attachment as well...

Hi well I'm not one for promoting stuff but Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is the one every technical support officer should has in their toolbox or in this case backup media. Not only can it retrieve your PD key and can also edit it toooooooooo (in my case I've made a slipstream XP sp1 disk with auto insert of serial on install, but within my disk there is a file with all 5 OF my legal XP keys. Once xp is finished install I would edit the PD key after reboot and use a new key with this tool) look here for more info http://www.cdrbase.com/showthread.php?threadid=26952

You may ask why edit my PD keys if I own them all.
