Updated Bootable Tools CD

Yep, I've got a corrupted download of BootCD.zip, it seems (WinZip says "bad CRC 45af01d1 (should be 0975aad8)").

Thanks a lot for making the file available for others. I'd like to try to download it again, but I'm not sure if I can -- I had to use Flashget/GoZilla to get it (twice), because the download got cut off and was later able to be resumed. But maybe the download managers cause the downloaded file to be corrupted (?) -- anyway, on a modem connection I don't think there's any way to download the whole file in one go.

It would be great if BootCD.zip could be uploaded to here in several files, but I know that that's a lot of work, and time, and money.

Probably best to stop being lazy and learn how to roll my own. Thanks for the inspiration, Solaris, and again for sharing.

I finally got the file ,burned it to cd using nero but it does not boot. Used Winiso and burned the files ,it still does not boot, yes auto insert is on. What am I doing wrong?

Don`t use WinISO on it at all, just burn it directly to CD with NERO.

Agreed...it is already in ISO format, so burn it with your burning proggie of choice...Nero if you must (don't use Nero anymore ;)).

But do NOT extract the ISO with WinISO and reburn the contents. You just removed the self booting feature created by solaris for this disc.

BTW, WinISO is a great idea, that is poorly implemented. It is notorious for incorrectly interpreting the ISO image. ISObuster is one of a few good alternatives. :cool:

good if not excellent post. this cd has everything for everbody. but is not for faint of heart! is good image for administrator if use norton ghost. thanks!
