Ghost does the same job plus LOTS of others and is 100% reliable. Also latest ghost versions support drives larger than 80 GB, this crap doesn't.
I don't know where is your idea come from...

Drives up to 80 GB and larger can now be imaged.

Drive Image 5.0 can handle the job, and of course DI 2002 can too! Unless they cheat us... Please do a little homework, as you told me before.

And, I found ghost's sector-to-sector copy "all the sectors" into the file, no matter it contain data or not. Am I doing wrong or is it Ghost's limit?

SWAP file is not necessary for Windows to successful bootup. You can always delete it under DOS or any other OS. It won't affect Windows when booting up next time.

Hey pokopiko, I used drivecopy on a drive to drive transfer and it worked fine. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones, lol.

Hello Pokopiko,

of course he was asking for drive copy.

Your advise is norton ghost. (as ever LOL)
So it must be allowed to give another advice....Drive Image 5/2002. (drive copy is included in drive image)

A lot users are still happy with this tool !!! I am using it at work and it failed nerver (FAT16/Fat32/NTFS)

With the correct settings it´s even able to make a copy of copyprotections of some industrial software products.
(based on corrupt hd-sectors )

btw. i know your opinion about Driveimage 2002 ;)

I did it again, after deleting SWAP (Page File) under DOS (Win98SE) then booting into XP, no error happened.
No rescue disk, not using any kind of tool, just DOS from Win98SE and XP. (Both installed on the same partition with dual boot ability which XP have) ;)

Windows system allow users to delete the swap file, or even take care of that by OS. Here is a link about turning this feature on... :)

Clear the Page File at System Shutdown (Windows NT/2000/XP) :D :D :D

If you encounter problems, maybe your IDE driver or M.B.'s BIOS have some compability issues... :(

PS.
I use both Ghost/PQDI series and both works fine. Different purpose use different tool. I like Ghost and use often, but in some case, if you want to "make sure" the image file is doing right, PQDI is better. Just because it has two "Verify" functions, one when making the image file, one after making the image file.
