Playing VCDs

I finally got a dvd-player that reads CD-Rs and CD-RWs, so I wonder if a vcd cd that I make will work on this DVD player since there was not mention in the manual that it plays VCDs CDs.
What's your opinion?
It will be really appreciated.

If you know the unit reads CDR & CDRW's then it will be 99% sure it will play VCD's on CDR's. However, the unit may not like some brands of CDR's.

The best way to really find out is to try it to play one, no harm can be done if it doesnt play. If you dont have one, make a small one from a trailer off a DVD and write to a CDRW. If that works, then write to the brand of CDR you normally use. Just follow the posted Tutorials in the Tutorial section.

Go here to see. You can look up your DVD unit and then it will tell you what it can do....

Tron, thanks a lot for the link.
That's amazingly helpful.
I found a model which looks the same as my DVD player which LG DVD Player 3350e. Mine LG DVD Player 3351. I checked the product picture at the site you mentioned previously and they look exactly the same. Also, I found the hack trick to make it play VCDs ( the specifications say it does, but you just have to activate it through hack code ).
Additional thanks go to ChickenMan on the marvelous tutorial.
I'll let you guys know if anything comes up.
Happy New Year.

KJ.
