but ForceASPI provides more than the plain ASPI layer:
it bypasses Adaptecs installation requirements; backup routine, restore routine and uninstall routine is included;

Thanks for your info, Duracell, I didn't know that Maybe I'll use it some time but I did not have any problems with Adaptec's ASPI till today

ive gaveup now and gone back to 5.5

but my pioneer 108 wont work on it as it dont give me the option to change to it.

gonna get a different dvd copying software me thinks

your drive is to new even for the latest v.5.5.10.56, so it isn't supported by Nero 5.5;

What was the result of correcting your ASPI layer + uninstalling PX engine + disabling IMAPI + applying Clean Pack + updating Nero to the latest 6.3? Why din't you post the resulting log file?

i got different version of nero 6, thinks its the latest with updates and it works a treat
