a perfect nero install is a flake, er, fluke, but ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND perfect burns? even microsoft manages to ship a few coasters once in a while.... worry not, gps31, we're poking LOTS of fun on this one! we're laughing with you, but you're just not joining.

I agree with "gps31" about that: Nero is a very good burning software.
1. With Nero you could mp3 burn when with WinOnCd or Easy CD you had to converted as wave.
2. You can make 1:1 copy of most cd´s (copyright or not) (pc-playstation....) not really need for clone cd, CDRwin and....
3. You don´t need a video encoder because Nero can CONVERT and BURN your video files as VCD and SVCD and now as DVD (with Nero Vision)
4. It is very friendly to use it
5. You can import and burn MP3 , Mp3 PRO and "WMA" files as album or as NORMAL AUDIO CD.
6. you don´t need an audio encoder because Nero (under file encoding or save track) make it (rip and convert)
7. You can burn HD Backup
8. You can Burn Images or create images
9. It has Database for audio cd´s
10. offer multiple burner support
11. You can burn : Mixed mode cd, CD Extra, Cdrom Boot and more....
12. You can print your covers
13. You can work your audio files with Nero Wave Editor
14. You can burn Photo albums to play in DVD players
and many more.....
Finaly:
the quality of your burning disks depence from the cdr´´s you use and from your SYSTEM HEALTH !
By many people Nero don´t work right because they use a cracked version or a blacklist serial number generated from keygen or..? (in this case Nero oppens but don´t work 100% right)
AND we sould don´t forget that Nero offers you so many things in just one application.
Ps.
I know people and they burn with Nero 300 - 350 copies in a week (marketing) and they have´nt any problem at all.

Irrespective of multiple burning serials, etc, I think even the people at Ahead Software wouldn't believe it that you could burn a 100000 cd's and not blow one out.
Nero is ok, it doesn't always do the job with VCD/SVCD's. And why defend it? Hands up how many people here have paid for it?

I don´t know about 100000 cd´s but i know that:
Nero gives you many features and so expensive is not!
If sometimes doesn´t do the job with vcd/svcd you have to burn at 8x or max 12x and you have to choose good quality cdr´s to burn on these!
If still have problems then check your system and if all ok (on your system) then you have to try a software special for videos because Nero is only a burning software !!!!!! that´s why you have to install nero plug-ins.
or maybe you can tell me another software doing all these Nero doing but better and costs the same!

Well, I have paid for it, and general consensus is that it is bloated, and can spazz out at random.

btw, the whole point of this was that nero isn't as robust as to produce a 100000 discs and not blow out one of them.

maybe with your expirience you have right, Nero is not perfeckt like all the softwares but it gives for the simple users the most features at low price - that was my point - You can not say to a begginer that he has to use nero for mp3 and vcd easy for video and clone cd for copies and and and....
Of course for other users the needs are more and everyone has to make his choises!
But still believe that Nero is a good burning tool (not perfeckt) for all kinds burning,
and you don´t gave me a clearly anwser to my quastion:
tell me another burning software doing all these Nero doing(all in one) but better and costs the same!
