Nero Burning / Windows Xp

Here's an update...I installed Xp on a computer that had 98Se.I installed it as an upgrade, kept fat32 filing system.

Nero 55.40 was already installed in 98SE.Nero would not work after the upgrade,it gave me an aspi error in XP.So all I did was use the adaptec aspi install file to reinstall an aspi layer.Nero worked fine after that.I immediately burnt a 78 minute audio compilation of mp3's to an 80 min.disc without problems.I then tried a 670 mb.data disc,also without error.So the aspi layer needed to be updated in my case.Make sure to use aspichk after any OS upgrade.Then update the aspi layer,if required.

This proves that the latest Nero versions will work with Xp.

different problem

When I installed Nero5551 winXP just stopped recognizing my CDROM (LG 8120b).
I tried replacing the DLLs you told but nothing.
So I had to uninstall so I could use my CD

im new pretty new to all this stuff - have the latest nero and cannot get it to work with windows xp prof. dont know much about aspi etc - could u provide me with step by step of how to and where to install the aspi and get nero working

disk at once / track at once

why can't I choose "disk at once", track at once is always selected and grayed (unavailable) ? Nero 5.5.5.1, TEAC cdr55s

hola!

i downloaded the new version 5.5.5.1 but this is not compatible with th teac 512eb! 5.5.4.0 works fine with it!

why is 5.5.5.1 not compatible?

this sucks!!

can anybody explain me why?

Hi bud....Simply put....BUGS...BUGS...BUGS..These newer versions are buggy.It is the same thing on all the Cdforums.Bad serials and keygens just compound the problem.Each new version will blacklist serials,etc.

If you have a version that works,stick with it..

Ifound another guy with same prob

Another guy saying he's got the same burner as me (TEAC CDR55S), is having the same problem under windows XP.
His information is on w*w.iexbeta.com in the board section, concernin Windows XP...

Hi Fastfox.Your aspi is not properly installed.I used aspiinst,then aspi32.It repaired my aspi layer,and allowed me to use Nero.Just PM me for the files!
