MenuModder (codename) coming soon!, so you can mod your Menu buttons

@fredthompson, I think you got a little bit mixed up :). Menumodder is for menu buttons not VOB's ;). It has nothing to do with stripping the video content

hope this helps

When?

I use DVDStripper(DSS and Ifoedit), Shrink and Menuedit for almost all of my backups now.

Can't wait for this exciting new menumodder(mother?) ...

Any idea about when we'll be able to play with it?

I'm a reg'd MenuEdit user and the one feature it does not have that I would REALLY like it the ability to replace the background in a menu.

Example: Got a English/Thai DVD, removed the Thai audio and Subs and the buttons pertaining to that BUT the menu still shows they were there. I could easily edit the picture even in MS Paint but I cannot get the "new" picture back there.

THAT would be a very cool feature to have but needs some basic MPEG2 encoder (tMPGEnc free or something) to encode the pic before remux. I couldnt manage it manually but then thats what we pay for tools for!!!

I agree with Methanoid. That is one thing that I would like to be able to do to at least the static menus (I may not personally be able to create/edit animated video menus, but the static screen menus are cake). It's just a matter of the whole process of demuxing, encodeing, replacing and remuxxing that's got me at a loss for replacing static menus.

I second that feature request to automate it.

I would love that feature too guys but I doubt it will ever happen :(

this tool is basically going to be a viewer and button command editor and nothing more

I've still got playback issues with stills on some systems (which is not good at all :(). I'm hoping it will be sorted soon and I can't get any help from anyone who has some experience playing VOB's to help with this simple yet frustrating issue :(, unless you know someone or someone is reading this :)

thanks for your patience anyway guys :)

Be happy to help anyway I can. Not certain though in your reference "anyone who has some experience playing VOB's "
Got lots of time and lots of DVDs. I've got 2 PCs and 1 notebook, 1 burner and 3 dvdroms. All systems running XP Pro SP1.

Create a 720 X 540 24 bit BMP and run through TMPGENC to get a M2V. Run this just this m2v thru ReJig DVD Author to convert to VOB. Replace the Menu Cell with this VOB in MenuEdit and import Buttons. OH, I forgot to tell you to export your menu's buttons. this is crucial. When done, you'll have your custom background with same buttons. ;)

cheers bud

it woulda been quicker if I hadn't been ill with flu for the past week and having to do 101 other things, so everything DVD related got put on hold for a few days ;) (programmers been bad too!)

I also got my new (replacement) burner and fixed my forever crashing PC back to a working state :)

p.s. 54,000+ members, wow we are pulling them in ain't we :D.
