MSConfig from Windows XP also works fine under Windows 2000.
Just copy in on a floppy and put it in your w2k machine

nice app viper i started w/ 17 start up items but disable 10 of them now that i know what they are.....thanks....still have to test boot up time which i will do after this song......

Regcleaner is a nice freeware utility, that will disable startup apps, it will clean your registry too. In fact, I bet I learned about it in one of these forums!
