I've just entered the world of DVD burner, before having the DVD installed I spend few weeks to gather some basic general information from newsgroup and web pages, and have a pretty good start so far.
1. I was able to use Nero to fill the DVD-RW with MPEG-1 without any converting, and the DVD plays great on my APEX player. I have to burn using DVD-ROM (UDF) v1.02
I check the disc and it has all .MPG files in the ROOT just like DATA copying. But some site mentions that (UDF) v1.02 should work with most DVD support DVD-RW and DVD+RW. I really like this option but since my APEX 1100 can play .MPG and .JPG etc. directly so I can't check for compatibility.
2. I then used TEMPenc to convert the Audio to 48mhz and used Ulead DVD MovieFactor v2.0 to burn them as standard DVD (VOB format). It took around 30-45 minutes (I forgot) to burn around 740 minutes of MPEG to DVD.
I tested and it works great except the video is about 2 seconds behind the Audio (ChikenMan suggested to use Maestro to rearange the Audio/Video but I haven't had the chance to try yet).
Well, I just share my own experience.
