I was wondering since ps2 doesn't play vcds is it possible to make/emu dvd files/dirs with some program?

I heard that the movie format on ps2 is pss but how is it made?

It doesn't want to convert some .avi files and some looks ok in avi format but turn out like crap after.Settings problem?
