Zone alarm help

When i set internet security zone to high, it prevents me from connecting to the internet. Could someone point me in the right direction in order to let me log on. It works ok when set to medium but not the recommened setting of high.

Can you answer the follow questions?
1. Are you using a proxy or any filtering application such as AdSubtract Pro?
2. Are you using another firewall with ZoneAlarm Pro?
3. Did you add the connection to your Internet Zone (it will appear once when you got connected to the internet.)
4.) Did you get any privacy software on?

No to Q 1,2 and 4.

Q3. Yes, my isp provider is in program control and has a green tick next to access and server

Should this not be in troubleshooting??...Sheesh I never know where to posts these days...I easily get confused..heh

ERRM which OS's are you using???

if you use W2K and XP you have to let your svhost access the internet (don't need to allow svhost to act as a server)

This allows you to connect to the internet...Also if you use dailup or cable - add you ISP IP to your trisyed zone....if you get stuck try the ZA help...kinda helpful in basic stuff

zone alarm settings

I have my settings set like this..
SECURITY
Local------Medium--This is so your computer will still function
Internet--High----This is so that noone will see you. You will be invisible to the people while you are on the internet.
Click on the Advanced button at the top and make sure there is an X in the box for PPP or Lan or whatever is in it ...Or your not going to be able to access the internet also.
Make sure that you have given permission for the Browser to access the internet also.
This will be in the PROGRAMS part.
You should be able to access the internet now!
