You could try this ........ DIRECT X BUSTER it uninstalls any version of DIRECT X to allow reinstall of ANY DIRECT X !!!

but and its a big BUT here this is to be used at your own risk it does work but we as a forum cannot be held responsible if it messes up you system ! :(


hopefully this will not happen but to make sure using XP make a backup RESTORE point before starting :)

Or better yet, just let someone else test it. :D

Personally I would just back critical stuff up and do a clean install. Sometimes that is faster and causes less headaches.
