Hi everyone. Not exactly sure if this is the proper forum for this, but here goes: Just did a clean install of WinXP Pro, updated to WMP 9.0 and installed no codec packs, just Divx 5.1.1 and the latest Xvid build, in addition to the basic WMP 9 codecs from M$. Whenever I try to play any a/v file with .mpg extension WMP freezes. Files with .wmv extension stream properly, it's only the .mpg/.mpeg that freeze WMP. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated as this is driving me absolutely insane.
