WMP not detecting my CDRW as a write to device...

I'm having issues with WMP and my PlexWriter...WMP is not detecting the Plex as a write/record device. It does detect it as a read. When I originally installed the Plex it was functioning fine, but after cleaning up some unused software it is not. (No drivers were harmed during clean up and the OS (XP) is detecting the hardware with no issues.) ...any suggestions?

I can burn via other burning apps/software...CloneCD for example, works fine.
