Since I discovered 7zip, rar is taking less and less place on computer... But the WinRar archieve manager is still better...

The day 7z format gets splitting, RAR will have something to really worry about....
7z format is "up there" with the best of the solid archivers, and is now in THREE programs - the original 7-Zip, IZarc and Tugzip.

As for ZIP, time to bury it! - the only thing in favour of non-solid formats, is in=place updating (difficult/impossible, or at least very, VERY slow indeed in a solid or blocked format).
