WINONCD 5PE Recorder Interface Error

Just installed WINONCD5PE and I am getting the same problem I was getting in WINONCD38PE.

Burning audio is fine. However when I try to burn ANY type of data cd, I get a 'Recorder Interface Error'. It used to work fine and dandy when I had Win98SE installed. I cant understand how this can happen if it burns audio OK. The software should work as is straight after install, shouldnt it?

Any ideas?

AMD 1Ghz on and ECS K7S5A motherboard, 380 ram and Liteon 16102B Writer running WinMe.

Try reading FAQ both on their website (w*w.roxio.de) and help file that comes with WinOnCD. Search for updated driver for your recorder on their site. Apply latest patches if you already don't have 5.03. Do you have other recording software installed? It could be that also.

If nothing works, just use Nero.

Im using same motherboard, with AMD XP1800+ 192 mg ram and am also using winME,& LG 32x12x8 with no problem , I have been using 3.8pe for some time and have never encountered these problems, I have burnt Audio from mp3,wavs or direct copy from cda, and have burnt many data cd's, both whole cd copy and added files to data cd's
Sorry I cant offer any solution, other than wwhat nfol suggested with latest drivers.:confused:
