WinDVD 4+ problem

I only have 2 PCI cards, the SB Audigy (IRQ5 forced) and a 3Com nic. Both are on not shared PCI slots. My board? Asus A7V266-E. I have the last via drivers and the last XP patches. None of my programs present any fail with sound. just WinDVD4+
I just hope it's not a VIA issue. Since VIA isn't exactly bug free. During their early chipsets, the Apollo3, the PCI bus had issues where our router card would stop working intermittenly different times of the day.

I have not have any BSOD since I installed Windows. Never a problem with any opther software, its just WinDVD. Even PowerDVD looks to work ok, but I prefer the quality that WinDVD gives me. I think it is a WinDVD issue. I just hope they could fix it soon. Sad that their support is crap, none answers to support emails (through their webform) or any forum or newsgroup that supports WinDVD. I will never pay for a program with this bad support. That is what I lke from the programs here in cdrsoft. You can try them in deep and if they work, then you can safetly buy them. That is what I have done for example with Flashget.

Hmmm, you could be right. I don't have the problem with WinDVD though. Just because there isn't any BSOD's doesn't mean it's actually all working well. Maybe there's just something that WinDVD doesn't like about your system. I wonder if PowerDVD support is any good..
