I prefer the official updates via windows update... and some of them will never, ever enter my system.
What you don't want all the spyware from Mirocrap!!! :D

What type of spyware is there in the MICROSOFT Updates..

As for yours scarecrow which updates will never enter your system..

As for my ive updated my system up to scratch.. Have'nt seen any Spyware.
If there is any spyware whats the most likely to happen..

Regards

Hey, that's easy: Dot Net Framework and WMP9 updates have no place in my system. All they can do is messing things up irreparably, and nothing more than that.

Spys**t doesn`t bother me anymore.I`ve got nothing to hide, and I don`t surf anymore with administrative rights.Anyone who wants to come in and look around my machine`s welcome. As long as they 'tidy up' when they leave.... ;)

I'm using XP home with auto updates.I count about 15 SP2 patches.I assume SP2 beta is just a package of the patches. No problems here.

I will not update to WMP9 under any circumstances either.

Hi

I am the same I have'nt Updated my system with Windows Media Player 9, And the DOT Net Framework...

I do use alot of Direct Connect and I also have my own hub. I have the updated software for the hub but it requires DOT Net Framework... Hhhhmmmm.

My System runs as smooth as a babys bottom..

PENTIUM 3 1000mhz Dual
1024MB Ram
880GB Harddrive... (1 x 80gb and 4 x 200gb Running at 133mhz)

Hi

I'm back with the boring same old story.
I've done a brief detail of research and noticed XP SP2 RC-1 is released.

Now is it safe to update and try it out, and hasnt the final been released yet

Well I ve been using it on my rig..(system) but mind you I have a very stable set up. No problems for mi to date...
Now if the final was released no doubt you would at least see info here.
;)

How stable is it..

I have installed it on a different PC i'll probably Use it for about 6 Month, before installing in my main Machine..

Good work guy's keep the latest info On SP2 coming

Like I said I have no problems with it. As its not a final release your going to find bugs or issues along the way at some point...But if you have problem with your system before hand and install this all I can say is Well!
Still windows is just a beta program full stop.
ps wait 6 mouths in that case the final should be released...
