Windows XP Professional Programs

Hello forum members.I have a WindowsXP Professioal edition problem thats giving me headaches. Any help and All sugguestions are welcome.

Every time I am downloading my computer windows goes into reboot and scandisc while I am steal connected to the net.But windows will not complete reboot until I turn off then back on computer then scandisc starts. When widows comes back up there is a message stating there was an error and due i want to send a report to microsoft. Also i can only use Nero5580 for 1 burn before it becomes unresponsive. But The errors for Windows XP are as follows:

C:\WINDOWS\Minidump|Mini050802-02.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\ANYUSER~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WER1.tmp.dr00\ sysdata.xml

sounds like a pain in the a*** problem if windows has to make memory dumps . . .

cant give u a more constructive solution than to to reinstall xp, sorry. =( (but hear what other members have to say first - maybe thewy have a better solution - as im not familiar with the problem.

has this only happened as a result of installing/removing something?

PHP:
be very careful what you install and how you monitor installation.
Pokopiko:
I am getting ready to do a clean reinstall of Windows XP Pro (corp edition). I should be careful about installing what?
Thanks

Before you go for a clean install m8 I would try and repair the problem by installing XP over the top of your existing O/S. Boot from CD and try this, it may solve this as the re-install will/should sort out any faults. My bet is it will, but there's only one way of finding out. It also saves the pain of a clean install if it works and will only take less than an hour to find out. I've done this on several systems of late and it has worked, one of the real benefits of XP IMHO.

HTH :)

I downloaded this version of windows XP Professional can it about 484MB is this the full version. If not how long and were can i download the full.Iam on a dialup. Thanks

I would follow Shadey's recomendation. I use 2k and had something like that happening to my system. Everytime the screen saver started for the second time and y wanted to close it, Boom, A memory dump or a direct black screen. I tried Laz method on that ocassion and it didn't Solve the problem.

What I did was format and reinstall, the problem was solved. Don't ask what the problem was, because it must be one of those top secrets of MICROSOFT.

Thira, I believe what Poko means, is to look out for incompatible software with XP. Sometimes it installs even beeing incompatible and then messes al you system with Wrong DLL's and VXD's.
