Windows XP Longhorn

What is with Microsoft first we had windows 98 - XP and the windows XP longhorn....

Well guys at the momment im downloading the longhorn i think its the build 4008 version if im not mistaken its probabl a test version, but ill let u guys know.....

If any of you guys require any information plz post up on the board, also if you dont know wats im talking about just ask for details or and ill be uploading some screenshots...

i hope its a bloody good one and bug free..

Whats wrong with Win2k Pro?

Don't get sucked into Micro$oft'$ way of thinking. They want you to buy a new OS every year. That way Bill Gate$ can make more $$$$ from everyone. Win2k Pro is very stable and secure. There is NOTHING new with Longhorn that will make everyone run to stores to buy it. There was Nothing new with XP either. It is just Micro$oft way of Marketing to the world.

Actually nothing- this is what I use myself. But service pack 3 was rather an anomaly than an improvement.

oh i have test the build 4008 unfortunatly its not the best ive seen yet hopfuly in the next 6-8 months the origanal final realease will be launched....

Microsoft better do a good job on his next os...

I hope they take a couple of years to release it, instead of providing the chunks of code to complete it(because it's incomplete due to the rush to sell it) along with the bugfixes in the "service packs". With the new excuse of "modular" updates they patch the holes and add the remaining code instead of giving people a fairly usable OS in one shot.

a note here is that the release out there was leaked on to the web by dubious sources and is far from complete with many things due to be in the final release simply not even coded as yet !?

so what you have here people is pretty much not an authorised release by microsoft as a beta

be warned that you will not get any support here for this O.S. as its not official .... ie its stolen code unless stated otherwise by microsoft

Do you want to buy it? Hell no another buggy os. I don't believe Microshit can make a bug free os!!! That would cost them to much, make something that works. If billy has hes way he'll charge for updates. I think maybe that should hit him with a pie again!!!
