Its a very popular download too on the warez sites around the net.

I can't figure out why people want an ALPHA M$ os......even their finals need usually a lot of bugfixing....
:D :p
The official final Longhorn release is not even planned for 2003,so I expect a lot of alphas and bétas coming up....

it should be longformat.
bluddy piece of crap:) dl it & couldnt wait to try it out.
doesnt boot properly & kept on replacing files when i went to install,& loadssss of missing files in the win32 section.kept on getting up to 55% of the install.that was it.
if thats going to be ready for 2004/2005 i will eat my hat.
everyone will have turned to linux by then.
stay well clear, thats the right motto.

I have the longhorn iso file. But still not going to installed it. Why? Becaused the ISO had an error running in boot sector. Setup may have problem. Need to extract the ISO file and change some .dat file. The IE Explorer may have problem again in the New version 6.5 build.

Just waiting for another ISO to download. Retail try out Longhorn CD-ROM. Just like Windows XP Pro.

i got the first iso that was out several weeks ago ... i had to extract the files onto my hd then copy some files ... start the installer from my win2k, the it copied all the install files onto my system drive and finally it installed fine onto another partition. it is working better than i expected but there are still many bugs in it ...
the multiple desktops, already known from some linux distros, is a nice feature but needs a lot of work, the sidebar is very handy too, but everything is still very slow
one major problem is that the memory usage of the process explorer.exe increases all the time, after some hours i noticed it was at about 600 MB :/ few mins later the sys crashed completely
it's still a alpha ...
there's one really nice feature in longhorn that i used very much while using this os. in the windows explorer details view you can switch on another row below the titles of the columns (filename, size ....) with for each column a textfield, where you can filter the file display to sizes, names .... a really good "replacement" for the damn search agent of xp
it's not really worth installing, only for little testing purposes, there's afaik not really much difference to xp atm
