Winamp 5 as audio-video player

Ive been using winamp2 as my audioplayer and was ok..
Now i thinking maybe to go back to wa5..
My question is;
1. As a video player is it wa5 stable and can it play like vcd, svcd or dvd from disk
2. Can it play dvd files from hd-eitherright click on folder like vls,or to open videots.ifo like mpc
3. All formats are possible over dshow like xvid,divx,mkv..bla bla bla
4. What winamp doesent do good as videoplayer???

5. As a audio player can it play all main files as foobar can.Important for me is;
flac,ape,shn,wv,ogg,aac,mpc,mp3,ac3,dts
6. Can it play with replaygain-album and track mod???
7. Can you do a replay gain with winamp in album mode for 1 cd??
8. Can you click on lots of files in playlist and edit tags-automatically for all??
9. When you play mp3 can you see if its made by preset-example Lame3.92-preset standard???
10. Can you do freedb only for cd or folder with bunch of files is ok?
11. Is it any scheduler plugin so you can use wa5 as a timer-sleep alarm??
12. Can you use wa5 as a tagger and is it good???
13. Does it have kernel streaming??

Probably there is some more but lets start with this...
Any winamp 5 pro`s here??
In your opinion can you use wa5 as a audio-videoplayer and what it miss to be good for both in your opinion?

Thanks in advance!!

WINAMP SUCKS for video playback compared to VLC (videolan) i use it for music playback only :)

its not good at tagging unless you load an original disk which is detected by gracenote servers and then it will only work if they have that disk in its listing :(

i use HELIUM or KMP3 to tag most of the time :)

winamp plays all these formats ..

Why it sucks for video??
I tried wa5.2 with powerplayer plugin http://powerplayer.tk/
And it was using 20% cpu,bit more then vlc 15%,but less then mpc which used 25-30...
Well i just tryed for avi-xvid,didnt try rest??
Is it not stable or not enough features??
Couse i hate vlc even if it plays anything and spend least cpy---it is so ugly:eek:
I only use vls if i got dvd in iso or some vcd-kvcd in cue-bin format so to play it automaticatilly-so to avoid mounting image with alcohol and play ""disk""
Much easyer-right click and play with vlc-done:)
But default gui is so ugly-oh my god......huh..what a ugly thing-almost as dvdlab:D

you could always SKIN videolan :D

always found winamp video player laggy on playback of movies.. but then again winamp itself can be laggy sometimes too :(

I always use VLC in fullscreen mode, so I don't care how ugly it looks...
Ah, and a (former?) Foobar2000 user should not complain about ugly looks! :D
BTW the answer for your questions above is YES, excluding Q12 (proper tagging is done only by using a special Winamp interface, like MEXP (very nice looking, many features, but buggy and likely not developed anymore), and Q13, where the answer is no (actually kernel streaming shouldn't be used, as windblows isn't designed for such things!).
I too believe Helium 2006 is the best all-in-one music manager (for windows) available right now.

Thanks for replys guys...Its real;ly bad i want to do everything with 1 proggy..
Like i can do tagging with mp3tag-its nice proggy too:) or hellium as you said..
whuh.......choices and qyestions...??????

Installed newest0.9.4.1 and i can telly you it sux badly comparing to 0.8.3..
Will try to go with winamp-if no go i will be back to0.83:) :)
083-last version of0.8 with speciall installer is one mean mashine:D :)

I installed newest 5.30 and its good player, but foobar is really something..
Really foobar is the best player for audio-nothing comes close..
But winamp is stront secpnd one..:) :) :)
