Why do i keep geting this?

Every time i enter a site with a Banner/Add i get this "Network Password" Prompt on my screen like the one below. any way to turn this off? as it is geting annoying now if i am browzing thro web sites.

It might have something to do with the security settings in your internet options.

Had a wee look in there but could not see much in there about that

From the Windows Start menu, choose Settings, then Control Panel, and then double-click Network. Is the Client for Microsoft Networks displayed in the list of network components?

Its windows 2000 i am running and i can see that Client for Microsoft Networks.

i am running a local area network but i can see any seetings like you meantion in any of them

I never used windows 2000. Sorry I can't help you much there.
