what reader to test cd quality ??

hi

i am going to test some cd's to find what is the best cd quality and my question is what should i use in testing the cd ??

my:
Toshiba DVD-ROM
Plex 24x
HP 12x
LiteOn 40x

and what prog should i use now i have the Nero Speed and i need another prog ???

what speed should i write the cd's to check the quality ???

yes thats what i am going to do burn the cd then check it.

Use the LiteOn with WSES (Write Strategy Eval Sys) which will alllow measurement of C1 errors as well as C2.

You can grab a copy of WSES over @ cdfreaks forum, just search around - I think alexnoe would mail it to you.

No, I can not.

I said to look at cdfreaks forum because I want you to do exactly that. You can join up and mail or PM him after searching the forum and seeing if he did offer WSES.

If you have Nero installed, after burning (could be with Nero or any other program) start Nero CD Speed, and go to Extra, then Scandisc. It doesn't give you the number of C1 and C2 errors, but will give you good, damaged, and unreadable as a percentage.
