I hope this will be of help. I had the same problem not long ago and was advised to delete a particular file in the registry which deleted all of my log-in info for websites. I deleted the damn email with the instructions but discovered this site. I use quite a few of the programs and they serve me well. CWShredder is the cat's knackers.Lister said:

Lister, the prog U want from that link is called Hijack This, just unzip & run it & it will check for homepage hijackers & BHO (Browser Helper Objects)Be very carefull with it, only fix the prob that U have.U could try posting the log file at the Avast forum as they have an expert there called Raman who is prolly the best person to see what U should allow it 2 fix
