I depends on the game m8.

Older games used to have CD audio music on the CD-Rom. But with games taking more and more of the CD-Rom's space, many are going with mp3's or other compressed file sound programs.

CD audio can be extracted to .wav's and mp3's can be converted to .wav's. Some can be converted and some can't. Many of the alternate sound programs can be played in Winamp with a plug in though.

To help you more...what games do want the music from?

Tinycl,

Suggest you visit the Game Audio Player (GAP) Web Site and check out the GAP player, which if you are lucky will be able to rip the audio tracks to the wave format and then you will be able to record to a audio CD.

The Web Site is located at -> h**p://bim.km.ru/gap/

Hope this helps.
