Video? What about data?

I have not progressed as far as video, at the moment I am having problems burning data.

As far as I can tell I have set up the drive (Ricoh MP5125A DVD+RW/+R) properly but when I try to save data (onto a Verbatim 4x DVD+RW) it asks me to load the drive.

What's happening?

I am working on Windows XP.

Please let me know if this is too little info.

Thanx poacher, you made me think outside the box, I swtched from Prazzi Primo DVD to Nero 5, it worked on the second attempt.
