Video editing software?

Hi

I will be purchasing a firewire card in the next month or so as I have a digital video camera and want to put some footage I have shot onto my harddrive and edit it (Titles,music etc)

I was wondering if anyone can recommend some software and the pro's and cons of the program!

The progs mentioned by Denexo are all good apps although I'm not overkeen on Adobe Premiere. Not anything wrong with the S/W but I couldn't get used to it.

Media Studio was probably the best of the bunch although I also tested Video Vegas from Sonic Foundry:

Adobe Premiere is great and very easy to learn, also there are a lot of 3rd party plug-ins and progs to use with it, but if you like to do things faster you should try Vegas Video the preview features are great and will save you a lot of time the cons with Vegas is that there aren´t still many 3rd party solutions.
