I am burning VCD format. After I download the movie I check to see if it works before I try to burn it. I even tried to burn just a music video and that won't work in the DVD player. All these movies will work on my computer DVD player, but I have to open the file with RealOne player for it to work. I am using Nero Burning Rom from Nero 6 Ultra Edition. Is there a certain type of CD-R to use?

Is the file encoded correctly ?
or is it a direct ripp ? if so it should be in the format of .dat not .mpg or .mpeg or wat have you...
the option in Nero allows Create VCD Disc or something like that... click and drag into the blank space provide in the disc explorer... not the folders... as you do so there are tracks being written in the meter below... (hopefully you know that)... okay... now get ready to burn... if you had previous probs burning before... mark down your burner drive to 1/2 or a little less of it's max speed... now hopefully it's fine...
and then on the other hand ... does your dvd player allow CD-R Media to be read ?!
