In numerous threads i have seen it said that that the best media to get is ritek G04 dye. Thing is there are loads of discs which use this dye often at different prices does the name effect the quality as long as it is G04.
I am currently using Orange bulkpaq dvd-r and have been experiencing skipping are these discs not G04. On a retail website i saw the following product description would this be suitable for high quality dvd video backups, with no skipping!

{DV 3110} New Ridisc 4x 4.7GB DVD-R disc in packs of 25
This is an excellent disc in every respect. Well packaged, great looks and faultless performance.
Ridisc is another Ritek owned brand name, so its no surprise that these use the excellent Ritek G04 dye.

These are possibly he best looking Ritek G04 discs we have seen!

This is the same dye used by Ritek's Traxdata and Ridata branded 4x media.

You can be sure that media sold as Ridisc has come straight from Riteks production lines.

These discs have the excellent Ritek G04 dye, so reliability and compatibility can be assured.

£13.98 Including VAT at 17.5%
Any advise would be very welcome thank you

Have you tried the forum sponsor, top of the page - and look out for offer announcements - there have been a couple lately, and some more to come.

No they are not GO4 type DYE but PRINCO and if your very lucky you may even get the better lot which use ProdiscS03 dye. There are tools that will give you detail info on the media while in the drive...And some burning programs have this built in.
There was at one stage some very poor quality (rejects) being passed off as 1st class or High grade GO3/G04.
Just a added note try Bulkpaq 4 X Printable tubs of 25 these use ProdiscS03 dye I use them and even burnt @8X on them but I tend to burn @6X on these.
