Trouble burning CDs for PSX

I am currently having trouble making backup copies for my PSX. I have tried Nero 5.5.5.1 but Nero did not recognise the data from the source drive (which is also a copy). Then I tried to copy using CDRWIN, PSXcopy6 and Clone CD. All three programs did burn the CD but when I tried it in my Playstation all would not load.Am I missing something or what am I doing wrong? I used all the above programs for backing up PC data and Music CDs and all worked fine. The only problem is with the PSX. Any comments and hints would be greatly appreciated as I am wasting a lot of CDs. Thanks.

Hi woody!

My cd writer is HP 9310i, Windows XP Pro. Using Nero 5.5.6.9 + Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum (updated with 5.02d and XP UP patch), clonecd 3.3.4.1 and cdrwin 4.0A. All works fine but when i try to copy a PSX cd using cdrwin, it copies fine but does not work on my playstaion (with mod chip). The original cd works fine. Can you help me??

Agreed!Use a slow read and write 4X.Read subchannel audio and data.Always close last session and don't correct subchannel data on write.Try a media with a dark blue dye.Use the writer to read and write.

Do the games start at all?

The games don't start at all.

I can't use Clone CD. The only reason i copy my PSX cds because i patch them with files from gamecopyworld (for example real names patch for ISS pro evolution) and i can only patch bin/cue files, so i can only use cdrwin.

;) early versions of clone are ok .just make sure that you read through the writer and write the same, use the clone detect program for the sub channel and audio channel set up details.........

laser adjust

if the cd dont load or freeze in playstation icon maybe you need to
adjust the laser of psx.open the psx and turn 1/3 clock the pot down of the laser.
etc the best cd for making backup of psx is the mitsui cdr
