Trojan Horse virus

Hi,

On my WinXP system, Norton AV displayed this message:

Source: C:\WINDOWS\system32\TagRecall.exe
Description: The file C:\WINDOWS\system32\TagRecall.exe is infected with the Trojan Horse virus.

I want to know if TagRecall.exe is one of winxp os files? Can I delete it? Thanks.

TagRecall.exe does not exist on my WinXP Pro SP1 OS :)

Wait for some more answer, in the meantime put that file in the quarantine!!! Or, you can try to scan that file with Trojan Remover, IMHO the best one Anti trojan software.

Looks like a variation of Trojan.Win32.Tagrecall, which is a true Trojan. Do as Jasmin suggested and quarantine it for now. Get rid of it, if it causes no problems from the quarantine.

Trojan Win32. Tagrecall

Kaspersky AV weekly update 18,04,2003 for DOS, Win9x, NT/2000, OS/2, Novell, Linux

Found this..........but can't reference it at Kasperskey's site.........strange !

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the help. Norton AV could not quarantine it so I had it deleted. And yes, I will try Trojan Remove for double protection.
