TMPGE (No Audio)

Hello there, I have a problem with tmpge, just downloaded it from the site, installed etc, on startup, video box ok, but audio box empty, tried diff files, all the same, avi file works with windows media player, real player, and easyx converter does the job with no prob, as you can guess i'm a complete novice. thankyou, john.

Your avi probably has divx or ac3 audio and it's not supported by tmpgenc. You can rip the audio from the avi with virtualdub and then use an ac3 or a divx to wav converter.

alternative to the above install the AC3 codec search google for "AC3 CODEC" with no quotes

check the codecs of the file with GSPOT and download and install the correct codecs

If it does have AC3 audio, I would suggest keeping it and only converting the video.
