The posting of posts

The posting of sites seems to be a bit misunderstood.
Some people seem to think that individuals who post just happen to know the site/s addresses off-hand.
I don’t know about other posters but I can spend hours or even days searching for sites to post on cdrsoft.
People complain that the sites are dead links or not good enough for them.
Any site that an individual can download something from that he /she needs is at that moment in time a good site.
They gained access through a poster who did all the initial work and posted the site free-just to help others like themselves and any others needing downloadable items.
I for one do not post dead links-the only exception to this rule is when posting multiple links which would take forever to check out. But individual sites are not dead links and are checked out before posting.
If a site is not what you expected then the simple answer to this is not to use it. Don’t whine about it or waste posts to moan. If the link does not work the first time try it again. Because this moaning and whining really pisses us off and discourages posters to stop posting.
If you believe that you can submit better posts then please do so as it would make cdrsoft an even better place to be and would encourage even more users.
I have seen loads of forums during my surfing but none have what cdrsoft have to offer. Which are friendship and warmth and all the help that you will ever need?
But this will eventually be spoiled by the few individuals who seem to go out of their way to piss us off.
So please-if you only want to moan go someplace else.
If you want to help cdrsoft.
Grow up and get on with helping all those who use this site.
Some people really do want help and somewhere to download items from.but it seems that some people just want to moan.

ps
perhaps we should have a place to post the moaners;) like outer space

there aint pleasing some people i guess !? i oftern find links that i post are dead within a day or 2 of posting here and more oftern than not i will come back and kill my post its happend a couple of times maby we should add a tag disclaimer that links are valid at the time of posting then we dont get it in the neck all the damn time !?

What i dont get tho is people who complain when they get something for nothing then they are still not happy because it isnt to there specifications !?

maby they should go find the damn links and programs themselves an save us the hassle !?

its annoying to know that ive spent a couple of hours searching for something that someone wants to know about and then when they get there answer its oh but i wanted........ or its not.......... it gets a bit fustrating to go to out on alimb to get what they want and there still not happy but hey i guess thats life and these things are sent to try us !?
:(

sorry for ranting but we have to get these things of our chest now and again ! lol :D

people just need to learn a little respect for those who go outta there way to help them in this forum instead of taking us for robots and mugs! :(

I seem to remember VIPER moaning once about a link I gave out being dead. LOL!!! It does happen sometimes, the link just goes down after you post it. (BTW, no worries VIPER m8. :D :D :D )

But people like yourself popfather 1 and roban (just two who come straight to mind) really do post some cracking links and I as do others sure do apreciate them.

So forget the whiners (they are the ones with the problem) and keep up the good work as this site thrives on it. ;)

Once again Tnx m8. :)

Mr. popfather1,

The vast majority of forum members and visitors here are most appreciative of your efforts in providing links to unique sites.

There are a small percentage of lechers that will never be satisfied with anything offered to them. The WWW underground/hacking world is a dynamic environment and is always changing – what’s here today might be gone tomorrow. Individuals that don’t understand that fact and complain, criticize, and/or whine should be ignored.

Luckily this forum has numerous members that greatly appreciate your efforts in providing valuable information for this forum.

Individuals like you are what make this forum such a unique information source to visit and acquire information.

Please continue with your excellent work and thanks for your efforts.

I can say this,I appreciate every post,as long as it goes by the rules.:)

The problem with links is this..No two computers are alike, because even if they are identical, there is the "USER".We have to remember there are a lot variables here.Internet speed,Security settings, firewalls, routing problems,Browsers,etc.etc.

So a link may work for one ,but not another. You must also remember warez sites do move around alot and have downtime, and scripting errors/updates too.:)

Thanks guys,keep on posting!!:)

It is quite possible for site to go down BECAUSE it's been posted.

From the usual effect on sites featured on Slashdot, the phenomenon is often known as being Slashdotted - where the the resulting extra traffic hits server limits, extra fees, or just results in server admins pulling the site.

Though we don't like blockers here, Proximotron got:
1. Slashdotted by being featured on "The Screensavers"
2. (allegedly) - DOS attacked by those with vested interests in popups and banners.

Just one example!

Extra Traffic

Its true that posting a link can kill it.
Many small (but good) mp3 sites are killed every week by somebody advertising it. The server hosts check for sudden increases in traffic as an indication of "unhealthy" content.
This is not a criticism of popfather or other good link finders.
Their work is greatly appreciated! ;)
Its just a fact of life!:D
