The old Bin/Cue thingy

in this case the result will be a pure data CD with only one track in Mode 1, sector size 2352;

converting to ISO is possible, but not needed; the simple Nero way (File > Burn Image > Select CUE) should do the trick;

don't forget to open and close the CD-RW tray after burning before exploring in Windows;

Post a segment of the CUE file (open in a text editor) - I'm guessing it's an Audio CD format with many short tracks - and the CUE file is human readable.

If the filename (of the BIN) in the CUE has a directory, some programs will requre it be altered to be just the filename - it's a common error, and it works ok so long as the files are in the same directory as they were created in.

You guys are so smart - can't thank you enough for the knowledge. With a bit of lateral thinking it occurred to me that it wasn't a wave file I needed but an ISO with AKAI/GIGA data in it. I got it to work like this albeit a bit convoluted: Unzipped d/l in Winace>Burn CUE with Burnatonce>In ISOBUSTER extract CUE with User Data TAO/ISO/WAV>Rename resultant TAO with ISO extension and load into my virtual sampler and voila! perfectly sampled real instruments c/w all the human nuances & interpretations!
Thank you so much - to help someone to help themselves is the best help you can give.
Hope you don't mind if I return with another calamity.
All the best.

hui, what a hard way to go; :eek:
but nice to hear you got it finally working; :)

What about a short try:
Unzipped d/l in Winace > convert the BIN into ISO with ISOBUSTER > load the ISO into the virtual sampler

Hi Duracell

Yeah, that suddenly occurred to me to! It works like you said but I now burn the ISO back to disk at the end to save the collossal amount of space the samples take up!
Once again, thanks for all your help - this is a great forum.
Peace

Hey can you tell me whay the latest Nero will not allow the burning of Image files (.cue and .bin) for DVDs. It will only allow for CDs. It seems that the default is CD(blocked out) No DVD box for image files for DVDs.

Tks

DVD filesystem can be either UDF (with or without Joliet extensions) or pure ISO9660. So, it is 100% natural that cue/bin can't be used for DVD.
