the better of the worse has the win

ingerland!

why, oh why, oh why,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Have they got one of potentially one of THE most exciting games going, kicking off on a FRIDAY? bloody fantastic. At work all day
Still so long as they win, theres always the hi-lights :D

I'm sorry Mal, but look it at the bright sight, ate least a football playing team will win this worldcup.

I have to say this, I lost all respect for the Italeans after their comments after the game. They said the referee was on Corea's side (I wonder why, it is a Latin Americaan referee (Ecuador)). Even if it was so how many world cups and European cups they managed to reach more than they deserved with the help of the referee. I hate this attitude, when it's right for you, it's OK, but when the other face of the coin falls, then it's not OK.

What irittated me more was to hear they demanded Pierre Luigi Colina (for me the best referee at this moment) to leave the world cup in solidarity with their lost. What a stupid reaction.

Another one was to hear that the scorer of the golden goal will not play anymore for Perruggia. In what kind of a******S world do we live nowadays. (I'm not sure of this one, it was told to me by a colegue of mine). But if this is true, the only thing I have to say is that I hope they never survive the first roun of any competetion till they learn to be humble.

Senegal is going to play Turkey (I expected a match Senegal -Japan, because they have the same mentality about football: try to do your best efford to win)).

Same goes for me Spotty, the match starts here at 7:30 and I begin to work at that same time :( . I expect it to be a great match. That the best team win.

ENGLAND

well im definately taking the morning off to watch england vs brazil - even if i have to make up for the work load later that evening :)

its good to know owen and scholes are both well enough to be playing :)

the lads are so confident having beaten argentina and the danes, i would really hate to see them lose.

go on ENGLAND ! ! !

italy

no respect !
the team and the rioting fans are sore losers. - after that press conference i lost respect for the italians - they blame everyone except themselves.

Re: ENGLAND

I have also lost respect for Italy's football fans and coach they lost a game and spat the dummy it must really mean alot for them

GO ON BRASIL

I agree,

They blame everybody except themselves. I only saw the match against Croatia, and there they showed how fragil and unsecure their team is. I repeat, they have great players to play attacking football, but they preffered to play defensive football, well in this WC the teams that played this way were kicked out early, what I believe should always happen. Now they want to leave FIFA, I hope FIFA kicks them out for some time after their comments. Well enough talking about those a******s, because in 5 hours and 30 minutes (sorry for my mistake for swithing the matches, the match is played here at 2:30 in the "morning" and I will have to tape it :( ) there will be a great match. I Go for Brasil, but I repeat, may the best team win (I hope it is Brasil :D ).

Good luck to both teams.

Don't worry that much, because if they keep Eriksson, England can become a great Team in 2004 and even better in 2006. This is just warm-up ;) .

Agree with that Parrotman, but that's the small part, IMHO, of the whole problem. As you mentioned, England has to many foreigners and that's not only Englands problem. It's also Spain, Italy, and Germany's problem. The most remarkable examples are Barcelona and Real Madrid. Specially Barcelona when was playing against Real, all the players gived their best, and it was really their best, because it was caracteristic of the Catalan players to act this way when they palyed against real. Nowadays even those games most of the times are borring. THe Bosman law is killing football and we have to thank this to those smart juizes and lawyers in Brussel.

Yesterday, I was astonished when I saw in the news paper that there are ideas to introduce a law in Holland that permit a player to leave the club he is playing for, without paying anything at all after a year. Do those bastards really think that specially Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord are giong to put money in developing players that can leave them after they reach the first team after a year without paying anything.

This Bosman Law is going to kill football (the clubs will not be able to pay the high amounts of money they ask for a player they own and they will have to let him go) sooner or later. Some times I ask my self, what the heck is the problem with those guys. I'm no geniuse, but are they that stupid that they can't see this as I and others do.

Well enough, I only hope that in the short time their will be someone that puts a halt to this stupidiies.

Yep, Jorip.

the big problem is that they don't seem to be looking for a solution.

Mal, bad news. In 2006, the champion will have to play the qualifying round too. So, even if Brazil wins, You will have to play against them in the qualifying games. THey will adopt the system used by the UEFA in the EURO CUP, were the champ was never directly Qualified. I don't like this Idea too, but it's one more of Blatters Brilliant Ideas.

ohhhh no

its not fair :D

maybee the team willjust have to get better

Hi Mal,

Maybe, but I think all teams have to change their mentality and fight against the kapitalization of soccer. I know that without money there is no football, but don't make it spin around this. Colombia missed sometimes, in some games, some professionalism and that is bad for the mentality of the new generations. Valderamas team was a great one, but never showed it. The same happened to Portugal this year. It looks like a virus that's propagating very fast.
