TFT Monitor recomendation.

People may disagree with me, and that's fine. I just want to say that I've seen terrific results with NEC TFT monitors, though they are often a bit less expensive than Samsung monitors of the same class. I've got a 1700V that has just been sterling, and my father purchased a 15" that has been similarly great.
I mention Samsung because the 19" CRT I had before the LCD was a Samsung, purchased on the recommendations of all the gamez kidz at Anandtech. It proved to be a poor monitor. Thus, this is a recommendation based purely on personal experience. Moral: I think the new NEC monitors are pretty nifty.

I have a Samsung 15" 151s and a Hansol 17" H711 (wiseview samsung tft-lcd)
and both are doing a good job.
I prefer Samung TFT´s because they are made with the glass of the world leading tft-glass supplier. --- >

MAG AY monitors are great LCDs. Glass and everything and a lot cheaper than competitors. They aren't as well known as others, but at a recent show in Germany they made partners with some big names in the gaming industry and I think people will see more good things from them (I mean under $500 market they are tops I think).
The others mentioned are good too though. How much do you want to spend though, because I recommend you some really awesome ones (but at a steep price lol). Being you don't play games & all, I would highly recommend these Mag ones because they are cheap and work well with games too (no ghosting), so you would never even run into a problem I would think.
