Sygate Pro Signature update block?

I'm using Sygate Personal Firewall Pro 5.0 build 1117,

For the life of me, I cannot update the signature, both under XP Home and Windows 2000 with SP3.. (two different set-ups, motherboard, cpu etc..)

I am aware that there was a bug with certain SPFP set-ups, I went to sygate's site and downloaded the patch, used it to patch an earlier version.. but the version I'm using was like, downloaded two days ago!

Are Sygate picking up on the bogus serials now, or might it still be a software problem at my end..?

This was posted on WZor page, see if it helps you.

Pre-Installation Hints: • Do not run virus protection software in the background while installing. This can prevent SPF Pro from configuring itself properly. • It is highly recommended that you uninstall all other firewall programs. Other firewalls can prevent SPF Pro from functioning properly. • For XP users you will need to be sure that XP’s built-in firewall has been disabled on all adapters prior to installation.

Installation: • For SPF Pro v5.0 builds 934 and prior In order to use this version you will need to uninstall your current version prior to installing. • For SPF Pro v5.0 builds 956 and 1117 We do recommend a clean install, however you are able to upgrade over your existing version.
