svcd Burning Question/Hardware Question

i haves some samsung dvd video player with supports vcd, svcd, mp3,& cd-rw. i havent tried playing vcd/svcd movies on it yet so i guess i'll try burning on cdrw's since there supported

do i have to burn the .bin & .cue of the or can i just extract the .mpg and burn the .mpg only? will the dvd player be able to ready the .mpg by itself or does it need other files from the .bin to be able to load the .mpg?

-edit-
i burnt the bin and cue but i think the the file was to big because CD-r inspector is says it is bad and i has lots of errors. good thing its a cdrw. the movies plays but some parts get screwed. this is why i am asking if the .mpg alone can be played in a dvd player ,because it would fit better on the cd. i'll find out soon enough

Im not sure if your player can play mpegs directly, but mine can.

I have the Apex AD-1100W and it plays mpegs just fine. When I burn my bin/cues with certain programs the video gets all messed up and blocky, twitching beep noioses etc. Is this your problem also? If so, i recommend using CDRWIN. I've decided not to use any other program at all anymore. CDRWIN does everything I need and it does it GREAT! It burns (s)vcd bin/cues just fine.

An extremely small minority of DVD Players will play an MPG file directly (APEX and Hitekers are the only 2 I know that will).

Burn out the Cue/bin file as suggested with CDRWIN and burn at a slow speed ( 1/2 the max burn speed of your burner is a good starting point).
