Star's under each user's name and we can rate them out of five stars of course,I think this would be great

Personally I think that isn´t good for the forum. Many kiddies will keen after the stars, like right now they already do for posting numbers ...
So, I think that isn´t a good idea ..

More opinions ? :)

Gotta agree with N.B on this one.

Number hunters already exist - the last thing we want to do is give them another goal.

You would also have trouble basing it on how "valuable" the information supplied appears to be. Some posts may seem basic to a seasoned poster but there will always be noobies (as we all were) who might find the information invaluable and not mentioned elsewhere in Internet land...

Nope,we have only banned those who have been confrontational with other members.One was banned for comments about Cdrsoft while it was temporarily closed.There have only been a few,I'm happy to say.We just try to keep the board enjoyable for everyone.;)

Yes, the admin/mod team was able to keep this forum a nice place ..
and hopefully this will work in future as well ...
Adding such a feature would be a step in the false direction ...

I agree that stars are not a good idea.

CDFreaks introduced a similar thing last week called karma they have now stopped using it, the main reason for this that I saw was members giving Mods bad karma rattings so they ended up with minus figures! :D :p :D

It would only be abused sadly. ;)

I think even then Member Status shown isn´t that good to the forum ...

i look at it this way the more people i can manage to help the better who needs stars when ya get thanks and appreciation for sharing yer knowledge!

no matter how small my answer is i get great satisfaction just knowing ive managed to help or solve someone elses problem!

rather than just banging my head on my screen bored off my head i can help others with what i already know ! and learn some more as i go along !!:D

im sure others feel the same way !!:D

i would rather have a rating on how usefull the post was to users of a scale of 1 - 10 ...... but even thats not needed as the replys of thanks the amount of time a file has been downloaded and the times a message has been read proves just that lol :D

SO no stars please only stars here needed are a) the MODERATORS for keeping this place clean tidy and in order!, and the big boss N.B. for the main site and they are all stars are in there own right !! :D

but what are they for anyway

and imagine how many stars we would have to give to poko and woody :D
