Hi all can someone help me with advice on what soundcard to use to enable a freind of mine to do sampling and multitrack recording on a pc please.

Look at cards by Turtle Beach with a digital I/O daughterboard - very good quality, reasonable price without having to spend money on a professional card. Stay well away from Soundblaster Live cards.
