Sony DRU-510A

Hi

I hope my question ends up in the right topic as I know people get upset when you ask a question under the wrong heading.

Anyway.

I have the Sony DRU-510A DvD CDRW Burner.
Problem is. Ripping speed never goes higher than 2.0 X

Any suggestions.
I've done the firmware up to 1.0F

Hi Bud!I'm pretty sure it is factory locked at 2X rip speed.Not sure if there is a hacked firmware to overide it.

Best to get a dvdrom reader anyways.The newer Liteon dvdrom drives rip at good speeds.

Got the software and went up from 2X to 3.8X.
Almost double.

Any suggestions on which DVD Burner to buy.
Something steady with good read and write capabilities.
