sonic record now

I just recieved my new comp. It has sonic record now. Can i use it to back up my dvds or do i need dvd decryptor and shrink?

recordnow is for mastering cds and dvds (much like nero or easy cd), not for transcoding. you'll need to use your own transcoder, such as dvdshrink.

hi, i have the same program,
i just used decryptor to put a movie onto my computer.....but can i not use sonic to then put these files onto a dvd??? do i need to use another program??
any help would be greatly appreciated

I think i figured it out. I decrpted it with decryptor, shrunk it with dvdshrink and downloade nero and burnt it from shrink. It was actually very simple.

im assuming with bigger movies i need to use shrink etc....

does shrink only work with nero?????? or can i contine to use sonic?

Nero if installed on your system will auto burn (if selected in DVDShrinking) once DVDShrink has finish shrinking the move.
O therwise just make sure you have DVDShrink build your (AUDIO_TS AND VIDEO_TS) folders. And once DVDShrink has done its work (make a note of the location where you have saved your files...(AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS)
You can open recordnow max select data project and select both your folders which DVDShrink made........and burn with recordnow max.
